# Block a variant

> Refer to this article to learn how to block a variant and disable its usage.

To block a variant and disable its usage, follow the provided steps:

1. Search for **Items** and open the related link.
2. Open the **Item Card** of an item on which you wish to block a variant.
3. Click **Actions** in the ribbon, followed by **Item**, and then **Variants**.\
   The list of **Item Variants** is displayed.
4. Tick the **Blocked** checkbox next to the variant you wish to block.\
   The changes are automatically saved.
