# Member community

> Refer to the tables with descriptions of dedicated Member Community fields.

Member community is the top level in the setup of members and memberships. It represents a club or an association that is marketing the memberships. The following fields and options are available in the **Member Community** administrative section:

| **Code**                                     | Specifies the unique ID that is used for linking this community with membership setup(s).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        |
| **Description**                              | The readable name of the member community.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       |
| **External No. Search Order**                | This option is used to define what search term should be used to remove any chance of ambiguity. The following options are available: **Card**, **Member**, **Membership**, **All**.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             |
| **External Membership No. Series**           | Specifies the number series used for generating the external membership identity.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                |
| **External Member No. Series**               | Specifies the number series used for generating the external member identity.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                    |
| **Customer No. Series**                      | The number series used when the system creates a Business Central customer for a member.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         |
| **Member Unique Identity**                   | Defines which field or combination of fields must be unique for a member, so the system can detect duplicates.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   |
| **Create Member UI Violation**               | You can select how the system will react when a unique member identity is somehow violated. The following options are available: **Error** - an error is displayed. **Confirm** - a confirmation question is issued to challenge the provided value. **Reuse** - an old member is blocked, and the new one is created instead. **Merge - **the system will merge existing members with the new member. |
| **Member Logon Credentials**                 | Defines what the member uses to log in, such as a unique identity, an external member ID, or a member-selected value.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            |
| **Membership to Cust. Rel.**                 | If checked, when you create a new membership, a customer who is associated with it is also created automatically. Afterwards, various discounts can be provided to that customer via the membership.                                                                                                                                                                                                             |
| **Member Default Country Code**              | The default country code filled in for new members in this community.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            |
| **Member Default Language Code**             | The default language code filled in for new members in this community.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           |
| **Create Renewal Notification**              | Enables renewal-related notifications for memberships in this community.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         |
| **Create Renewal Success Notification**      | Sends a notification when a renewal is completed successfully.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                   |
| **Create Renewal Failure Notification**      | Sends a notification when a subscription related renewal attempt fails.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          |
| **Create Autorenewal Enable Notification**   | Sends a notification when subscription renewal is enabled.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       |
| **Create Autorenewals Disable Notification** | Sends a notification when subscription renewal is disabled.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      |
| **Create Termination Request Notification**  | Sends a notification when a termination request for a subscription membership is created.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        |
| **Activate Loyalty Program**                 | Turns the loyalty program on for this member community.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          |
| **Foreign Membership**                       | A calculated field that shows whether foreign membership setup exists for this community.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        |
