# Introduction to Coupons

The Coupon API allows you to manage discount coupons including finding, creating, voiding, and reserving coupons for transactions.

Coupons can be looked up by customer number or reference number, applied to calculate discounts, and reserved to prevent concurrent use during a transaction.
